Our independent inventor community struggles to introduce new ideas into the market—your help as a donor and/or volunteer is needed!
UtahInventor.org is generally
self-supporting—BUT!
Much of the organizational activity of the Foundation is self-funded. The operations of Utahinventor.org are primarily covered by the annual $20 dues paid by members. Virtually all of the administrative activity for the organization is donated service without compensation. HOWEVER, there is a great need for donations to cover the development of new programs and the offer of inventor incentive awards for The Spirit of da Vinci® awards program. Cash prizes have proven to be the greatest incentive for inventor participation. The impact of a cash award is immediate—no waiting for years to see if the public will respond to the invention.
Donor Benefits
The primary value received by Sponsors is the increased productivity of the inventor community. By supporting creative minds through UtahInventor.org, sponsors are able to collectively increase the training and motivation of Utah inventors, thereby benefiting the economic and educational growth of the state. The resulting indirect benefits extend throughout the corporate, university and general business environment as new products and services are generated. No one would question the value of inventors that spawned the formation of Huntsman Chemical, Wordperfect, Evans & Sutherland, Sorensen Companies, Merit Medical, Iomega—the list goes on and on. Support and funding of UtahInventor.org can be a springboard for the next generation of mega-companies.
Direct sponsor benefits include recognition in the community and among inventors with listings in foundation publications, public announcements and inventor activities. Sponsors are also provided early access to new inventions in The Spirit of da Vinci® competition. Satisfaction of making a difference in economic development of Utah.
Business Sponsors: Many successful companies were created in part by the efforts of creative inventors. For such companies, donations to the foundation are truly a re-investment that can perpetuate that same creative spirit.
Inventor Sponsors: For inventors who have achieved success, your financial and moral encouragement is particularly meaningful—your story could be the motivation needed for the struggling inventor. Your dollars can give hope to fledgling inventors who will walk in your footsteps.
